Delhi Court Issues Notice to Rahul, Sonia Gandhi in Herald Case

Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi were given an opportunity by the Rouse Avenue court to defend themselves against the charges listed in the charge sheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate in the National Herald case, ahead of taking cognisance of the charge sheet.
NEW DELHI:
The court of Special Judge Vishal Gogne of the Rouse Avenue court, issuing notice to the Gandhis, said, "The right to be heard breeds life in the right to free trial. ED does not come to any detriment if the accused is allowed to make submissions on the point of cognisance".
