9 Held in Guna for Hurling Stones During Religious Rally

Police have apprehended nine people after members of two communities allegedly hurled stones at each other during a Hanuman Jayanti procession at Guna in Madhya Pradesh, officers aware of the matter said on Sunday.

BHOPAL:

The incident took place at around 7.45 pm on Saturday near a mosque in Colonelganj area when the community members came face-to-face, following which the authorities rushed to the spot to bring the situation under control, superintendent of police Sanjeev Sinha said.

The situation was currently peaceful, police said.
