India supports Brazil for its ‘inclusive’ COP30 leadership

India on Sunday expressed strong support for Brazil's leadership of the COP30 Presidency “which was rooted in inclusion, balance, and the Brazilian spirit of Mutirao, and has guided the CoP30 with integrity,” a statement from the Union environment ministry said.

India also welcomed several decisions adopted at COP30, including a work programme on Article 9.1, which is a legal obligation for developed countries to provide financial resources to assist developing countries in taking climate action.
