IIT B'bay students demand reforms in wellness centre

34.1% REPORTED NO IMPROVEMENT IN MENTAL HEALTH AFTER ATTENDING COUNSELLING SESSIONS AT THE WELLNESS CENTRE
MUMBAI: Only 35% students at the Indian Institute of technology, Bombay (IIT-B) are satisfied with the institute's Student Wellness Centre (SWC) which offers mental health support including counselling to students, a survey by the institute's official student media body, Insight, has found.
A total of 124 students participated in the survey, among whom 34.1% reported no improvement in their mental health despite attending counselling sessions, while 16.3% said their issues persisted or had worsened.
