The Centre on Tuesday released in advance the 2ist tranche of PM-Kisan, a cash transfer scheme for farmers, for Jammu & Kashmir in view of crop losses due to heavy rainfall, an official statement said, adding that Union agriculture minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan transferred ₹171 crore to the bank accounts of 850,000 farmers of the Union territory.
