Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday told lawmakers of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to ensure that reforms take place in every sector, not just the economy, and that rules and regulations that have been drafted are for ensuring ease of living for citizens.

The PM stressed that both ease of life and ease of doing business are the top priorities of his government, people aware of the details said.

Addressing the first parliamentary party meeting of the ongoing winter session of Parliament, the PM is learnt to have said that lawmakers should ensure that laws and policies are implemented on the ground in their respective constituencies, and with the intent to make life easier for citizens.

“The biggest agenda of the Narendra Modi-led government, which is now in its third term, is the ‘reform express’” Union minister for parliamentary affairs Kiren Rijiju said, briefing reporters after the meeting, which was attended by all NDA MPs.
