Protests by power employees in Uttar Pradesh on Monday led to the deferment of the technical bid opening for appointing a transaction consultant for the second time.
LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has now extended the bidding date to March 15.
The protests, organised by the Vidyut Karmchari Sanyukt Sangharsh Samiti, were held across the state against the proposed privatisation of Purvanchal and Dakshinanchal power distribution corporations.
