Days after student’s gang rape, Kolkata law college reopens

The South Calcutta Law College reopened on Monday following permission from the Kolkata Police amid tight security, with the development coming days after the institution was shut on June 29 after a 24-year-old first-year student was allegedly gang raped on campus on June 25.
“Only first semester students of BA-LLB, who couldn't fill up the form for the upcoming examination, have been asked to come on the first day after reopening.
The first semester examination is scheduled to start from July 16,” a senior official of the college said.
