'Z' security for BJP MP Patra and Dalai Lama

The ministry of home affairs (MHA) has granted Z-category security cover to Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama on the basis of threat perception, officials said on Thursday, adding that a similar security cover will be provided to Bharatiya Janata Party leader Sambit Patra.
NEW DELHI:
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has been asked to take over the security of the Dalai Lama, and the force will protect him round the clock during his travels as well as at his residence in Dharamshala, the officials said.
