Locals allege that water is being diverted to other areas, a claim which MCG has denied
GURUGRAM: Residents of Sector 57 in Gurugram are facing severe water shortages, with supply drastically reduced following diversions made by the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG), they allege.
Sector 57's demand for water stands at approximately 2,500 kilolitres per day (KLD), according to the complaint filed by the RWA in sector 57 to the district administration. "However, only 1,600 KLD is being supplied," claimed Roshan Lal Yadav, President of the RWA, Sector 57. This shortage is affecting nearly 4,500 families, forcing them to rely on private water tankers.
