Security near Salman's home gets a boost after new threat, case filed

The Mumbai police on Monday stepped up security around Salman Khan's residence in the city after the traffic police on Sunday received a death threat against the Bollywood actor, officials familiar with the matter said.

In the message, received on the traffic police's WhatsApp helpline on Sunday, the sender said: "I will barge into his house" and "blow up Salman Khan's car with a bomb", a police official said.

"The sender threatened to kill the actor by reaching his Bandra residence and also threatened to detonate a bomb in his SUV," the officer from Worli police station said.
