President Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President CP Radhakrishnan and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Wednesday congratulated Narendra Modi for becoming India’s longest continuously serving elected premier.
In a letter to the PM, Murmu said she was deeply touched by his compassion for the marginalised sections of society. “Your journey from humble beginnings to becoming India’s longest-serving elected PM, continuously serving the people, also reaffirms one of the most inspiring features of Indian democracy,” she said in the letter.
