In a major breakthrough, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Delhi police have recovered at least 328kg methamphetamine worth ₹262 crore from a house in national capital and arrested two people, the ministry of home affairs (MHA) said in a statement on Sunday. The agencies have also identified the kingpin, a British national currently based in the UAE, and have started paperwork to secure his deportation.

People aware of the matter said investigators have found a clear link of Pakistan intelligence agency ISI's active links to the drug cartel. “This drug cartel has links in Pakistan. The probe is in its early stages. The agencies have found that the methamphetamine was being supplied to countries abroad such as Australia and New Zealand,” an official said, requesting anonymity.

Union home minister Amit Shah said on X, “Our govt is shattering drug cartels at unprecedented pace. Fiercely pursuing the top-to-bottom and bottom-to-top approach to the investigation of drugs, a breakthrough was achieved by seizing 328 kg of methamphetamine worth ₹262 crore in New Delhi and arresting two. The operation was a brilliant example of seamless multi-agency coordination to achieve PM Modi Ji’s vision for a drug-free India.”
