Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday directed the officials concerned to take up work on conservation and revival of natural water sources in the state on a large scale.
DEHRADUN: Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday directed the officials concerned to take up work on conservation and revival of natural water sources in the state on a large scale. The CM said that special attention should be given to innovations instead of focusing just on the old traditions, officials aware of the matter said.
He gave these directions during a review meeting of the schemes of the irrigation, minor irrigation and rural construction department at the secretariat on Friday, they added.
Officials said that the CM directed officials to take up large-scale work on conservation and revival of natural water sources in the Himalayan state.
Dhami said, "Water is the basis of life and prosperity, so continuous efforts should be made towards water conservation and revival of water streams, and all kinds of water sources in the state."
