CM Marks 3 Years in Office With 3 Key Announcements

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday announced financial assistance for students, a proposal for the regular appointment of Uttarakhand Purv Sainik Kalyan Nigam Limited (UPNL) employees, and government projects of up to ₹10 crore will be allotted only to local contractors.

"The state government will provide financial assistance to students preparing for competitive examinations and youth with graduation degrees. Training will be arranged to develop their employment skills through a dedicated platform. For this, the government will constitute a high-level committee," Dhami said while speaking at a function organised on the theme of three years of "service, good governance and development" at Parade Ground.

Dhami was sworn in as the 12th chief minister of Uttarakhand on March 23, 2022. This is his second term. Earlier, he was sworn in as CM in 2021.

"A concrete policy will soon be prepared for the regular appointment of UPNL and contract workers. Apart from this, government works up to ₹10 crore will be given only to the local contractors," he said.

Dhami said that under the guidance of PM Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand has achieved success while facing various challenges. "Despite various challenges, in these three years, our state has achieved many remarkable achievements and set new records, the echo of which is being heard all over the country today."
