Man sentenced to death for raping, killing minor

A court in Nalgonda district of Telangana on Thursday awarded the death sentence to a 24-year-old man for raping and murdering an 11-year-old girl in April 2013.
The special Pocso court found the accused, a butcher, guilty under relevant provisions of the Protection of children from sexual offences Act and the Indian Penal Code, and also imposed a fine of ₹1.10 lak
