The Union government is preparing to launch an app-based rental taxi service called the Bharat Taxi App, which is currently undergoing testing and trial runs, minister for road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari informed the Lok Sabha on Thursday.
In a written response to a question from BJP MP K Sudhakar, Gadkari said, “A mobile-based application, namely Bharat Taxi App, to support driver-owned taxi service on a cooperative model under the aegis of Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Limited (STCL), is in the testing and trial phase,” the minister stated
