Amid trafficking probe, minor rape victim's baby moved to orphanage

An infant born to a 15-year-old rape survivor at the civil hospital in Sector 10, Gurugram, has been shifted to a Faridabad orphanage following a suspected trafficking attempt, officials said on Tuesday.
The newborn was found abandoned at a private hospital near Basai chowk in Sector 9 on December 26, without admission entry, paperwork or an attendant. He had earlier been treated for jaundice at the civil hospital. The private hospital's owner, Dr Shyam Singh, alerted police, and the infant was returned to the civil hospital.
