Territorial clashes claim 10 tigers in RTR in two years: Officials

At least 10 tigers have died in territorial fights between tigers at Ranthambore Tiger Reserve (RTR) in Rajasthan in the last two years, officials said on Friday.

JAIPUR:

The reserve, originally designed to accommodate 45 to 50 tigers, currently houses 77 big cats, leading to an alarming rise in territorial fights.

In the last two years, 16 tigers have died in the reserve, with territorial fights being the primary cause in 10 of these cases.
