ODISHA MLAS PASS BILL TO INCREASE SALARY THREEFOLD

The Odisha Assembly on Tuesday passed a Bill to revise salaries and allowances for legislators, ministers and the Speaker, along with a hike in pensions for former MLAs and a threefold increase in their monthly salary and allowances.

The monthly salary and allowances of the MLAs was increased to around ₹3.45 lakh, compared to around ₹1 lakh at present.
