Congress leader and former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin on Friday was sworn in as a minister in the Telangana cabinet headed by chief minister A Revanth Reddy.
State governor Jishnu Dev Varma administered the oath of office to Azharuddin during a brief ceremony at the Raj Bhavan. Apart from the CM, senior Congress leaders, cabinet colleagues, state assembly speaker G Prasad Kumar, government advisors and senior IAS and IPS officers attended the event.
