Primary school celebrates glowing Ofsted report

Ward Jackson Church of England Primary School headteacher, Amy Sparkes, and deputy headteacher, Liam Savage, celebrate their latest Ofsted report with pupils Annie, Fernandez, Vihan, Samira, Hallie-May and Emily.

(FRANK REID)

Ward Jackson Church of England Primary School, in Clark Street, Hartlepool, has recently been inspected under Ofsted's new framework.

One-word overall gradings are no longer given, with schools now being marked against a different set of criteria.

The school was given a “strong standard” in inclusion and personal development and wellbeing, and an “expected standard” in achievement, attendance and behaviour, curriculum and teaching, early years and leadership and governance.
