Platform shut for 15 weeks of work

A platform at Hamilton West will be closed for 15 weeks as engineers move in to carry out a £2.1m renewal project.
The upgrade will see platform two demolished and rebuilt, with improved surfacing and drainage meaning passengers will be able to move around more comfortably and safely. There will also be tactile paving to assist visually-impaired users.
Network Rail are about to begin work this month, and in order for the work to be carried out safely and efficiently, platform two will be closed for 15 weeks from Sunday, May 18, until Friday, August 29.
