Thai-Cambodian border talks 'make progress'

Thailand said on Saturday talks with neighbour Cambodia had “made progress” in resolving a long-running border dispute that last month devolved into clashes.

Thai and Cambodian officials met to try to ease tensions amid fears of military clashes after a long-running territorial dispute reignited, leading both countries to mobilise troops on the border.
Thailand's Border Affairs Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Prasas Prasasvinitchai and Cambodia's minister in charge of State Secretariat of Border Affairs Lam Chea attended the 6th meeting of the Cambodia-Thailand Joint Boundary Commission on Saturday.
The two neighbours share an 820-km land border, parts of which are undemarcated and include ancient temples that both sides have contested for decades.
