Team AD win D50 title, complete ECB triple crown

Team Abu Dhabi have etched their name into UAE cricket history by securing the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) Triple Crown, adding the D50 trophy to their already impressive DIO and D20 titles.

In a commanding performance that capped a historic journey, Team Abu Dhabi clinched the D50 tournament, following their D20 victory in 2023 and DIO triumph earlier this year. With this latest win, Abu Dhabi becomes only the second team to capture all three major ECB domestic titles, following Fujairah’s sweep in 2024.
After restricting Fujairah to 214 all out, Team Abu Dhabi reached the target for the loss of five wickets with 14 overs to spare.
Fujairah, batting first, posted a fighting total of 214 all out. They got off to a flying start as the openers Ashwanth Valthap and Mayank added a whopping 140 runs for the first wicket.
Both the batsmen played sensibly and set the tone for a huge total. Valthapa scored 47 while Mayank went on to complete his fifty and fell 11 runs short of a century.
