Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Judicial Council, affirmed that, what Sharjah is most proud of is placing human beings at the forefront of its priorities, preserving their dignity, enhancing their quality of life, and ensuring a decent living, especially for children and youth who form the cornerstone of society’s future.

This came during Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed’s visit, on Wednesday, to the “Kanaf” centre in the Barashi area of Sharjah, which is the first of its kind in the region to provide legal, psychological, and social support to child victims of physical abuse.
The centre brings together all relevant child protection entities under one roof, creating an integrated environment that simplifies procedures and strengthens the sense of safety and trust among children and their families.
Accompanying the Chairman of the Judicial Council during the visit were: Major General Abdullah Mubarak Bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police; Ahmed Ibrahim Al Meel, Chairman of the Sharjah Social Services Department; Judge Dr. Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, Head of the Judicial Department; Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashemi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Private Education Authority; Counsellor Anwar Amin Al Harmoudi, Attorney General and Head of the Public Prosecution Authority; Hassan Yaqoub Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Media Council; and Hanadi Al Yafei, Director-General of the Child Safety Department and Chairperson of the Higher Committee of the “Kanaf” centre.
