SEC decides to regulate media activities in Sharjah

The Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), during its meeting, on Tuesday, chaired by Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the Council issued a decision regarding the regulation of media activities in the emirate of Sharjah.
Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salem chaired the council's meeting, on Tuesday, at the Sharjah Ruler's Office.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC).
During the meeting, the Council reviewed general government policies and the financial results of the Government of Sharjah, and discussed ways to enhance these policies in line with the significant development and comprehensive growth taking place across all segments of society and various sectors in the emirate.
The Council issued a decision concerning the regulation of media activities in the emirate of Sharjah.
The decision aims to ensure the comprehensive and sustainable regulation of all forms of media activities, and to develop a robust legal and legislative framework for governing media operations and content.
It seeks to enhance the quality and diversity of media content, in a way that reflects the cultural identity and values of the emirate.
