Physical remand period in NAB custody reduced to 14 from 40 days

The physical remand period of an accused in the custody of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for interrogation has been reduced to 14 days from 40 days.
The Ministry of Law and Justice has withdrawn an amendment in the National Accountability Ordinance (NAO) under which the remand period of a detained accused was extended to 40 days from 14 days.
