Libya farm owner unleashes his pet lion on worker
Gulf Today
|August 19, 2025
A shocking video that recently went viral on social media has ignited widespread outrage in both Libya and Egypt, after it showed a Libyan farm owner deliberately unleashing a lion on an Egyptian worker.
-
The video, which quickly circulated across regional platforms, depicted the worker being cornered and visibly distressed as the lion approached.
While the worker ultimately escaped unharmed, the stunt was widely condemned as reckless, humiliating, and a gross violation of human dignity.
The incident has sparked an uproar among activists, commentators, and ordinary citizens across both countries. Egyptian social media users expressed fury over what they described as a degrading and life-threatening act against a foreign worker, who was already in a vulnerable position.
