Etihad-SAT to monitor disasters, oil spills

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) revealed the Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite, Etihad-SAT, developed in partnership with the Republic of Korea's Satrec Initiative, will provide data for the management of crises and disasters, the surveying of agricultural land, the monitoring of oil spills and maritime navigation.

This was explained in a one minute and II second video clip posted on the X platform.
Etihad-SAT represents a significant milestone in MBRSC's Satellite Development Programme, as it is the first satellite equipped with SAR imaging technology.
