Dubai has issued 139,000 emergency passports

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA) has issued 139,000 emergency passports since 2008 until now, as part of the passport renewal service available at Dubai international Airport, according to Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA.
Lieutenant General Al Marri explained that the directorate operates using advanced technological systems and mechanisms which allow citizens to renew their passports with ease and convenience.
He emphasized that the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has made Dubai a leading global destination in providing innovative government services, leading to strengthening its pioneering position regionally and globally and supporting its efforts to ensure the happiness and well-being of citizens.
