Art4you Gallery celebrates National Day with sustainable live art display
Gulf Today
|December 08, 2025
The celebrations commemorating the 54th Eid Al Etihad or the UAE National Day had an early start — and do not seem to be ending any time soon.
The spirit of National Day came alive, for example, on November 23 in a vibrant fusion of culture, creativity and sustainability, as Art4you Gallery presented a Camel Live Art Celebration at the iconic Mehromah Art House, Dubai. A large number of artists joined together for the event, to paint live on specially made wooden sculptures fashioned like camels, transforming the national symbol into a potent visual narrative of pride, resilience, and tradition.
The camel, a timeless representation of Emirati tenacity and movement, bred in the desert and nurtured by oases, was the focal point of the festivities. A sustainable wooden camel sculpture was given to each artist to use their own visual language to interpret the theme of National Day, with their individual ideas. Tradition was empowered and honoured through contemporary artistic voices on a creative format, which combined heritage and modern expression. Each participating artist examined a different facet of UAE identity. Nithin Umesh used earthy tones and textured brushstrokes to depict Bedouin roots and desert vistas. Anastesia Novokreshchenova represented the country's transition from a desert home to its current cosmopolitan marking.
