Al Taawoun primed for Sharjah test at AFC Champions League Two semis

Al-Taawoun FC will have to brace themselves for a full on assault from Sharjah FC when the sides meet in the return leg of their AFC Champions League (ACL) Two 2024/25 semi-final on Tuesday.

Saudi Arabia's AI Taawoun will be defending a one-goal lead, courtesy of Abdelhamid Sabiri's second minute effort, but UAE's Sharjah will be confident of overturning the deficit.

The first leg was an extremely tight affair with both sides doing a great job in nullifying each other's attacks.

Sharjah, however, had the better chances but were let down by wayward finishing and Cosmin Olariu will remind his players they can be wasteful on Tuesday.
