NEW HIGH-RES 3D IMAGING SCANNERS TO BE DEPLOYED IN TERMINALS 1, 2 AND 3
As Dubai International Airport (DXB) continues to break records as the world's busiest airport for international travel, handling millions of passengers each month, the need for efficient and high-capacity infrastructure is the need of the hour.
The rollout, starting soon, of advanced HI-SCAN 6040 CTiX Model-S computed tomography (CT) scanners will ensure that passengers will no longer need to remove electronics like laptops, or liquids, from their carry-on bags at security checkpoints.
Checkpoint scanners
Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP) has officially awarded a contract to Smiths Detection to deploy state-of-the-art checkpoint scanners throughout Terminals 1, 2, and 3.
DAEP is the agency responsible for the design, master-planning, infrastructure development and construction of Dubai's aviation sector.
