Construction underway for Dubai vertiport

The facility located next to the Dubai International Airport will be ready next year

Construction has officially commenced on the world’s first dedicated vertiport for air taxis, the CEO of Dubai Airports told Gulf News. The groundbreaking project, officially known as DXV, will be situated adjacent to Dubai International Airport (DxB).

Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, confirmed the extensive involvement of DXB in the ambitious undertaking. “We’re very heavily involved in it,” Griffiths stated.

“I witnessed one of the early demonstration flights of the new air taxi a few weeks ago, and it was very impressive. I believe this will be the future of personal mobility,” he said.
