Abu Dhabi extends driverless taxi network to Zayed airport

Abu Dhabi's self-driving vehicle service, TXAI, now connects Yas and Saadiyat Islands to Zayed International Airport.
Announced by the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) under the umbrella of Abu Dhabi Mobility, this move marks a major milestone in the emirate's strategy to make 25 per cent of all trips driverless by 2040.
TXAI's pilot phases, which began in 2021, have already logged over 30,000 trips covering 430,000km, with zero traffic incidents.
