Rising table tennis star William 'has a very bright future'

RISING table tennis star William Varley is ensuring he has a shot at national renown, even though he has only just turned 14.
The young player has enjoyed his biggest success so far in the sport, winning a 2ª Cadet (U15) competition in Huddersfield with the drop of only one set.
William then topped his group in the Junior Boys (U19) competition before losing in the quarterfinal to the top seed.
The Grimsby, Cleethorpes & District Table Tennis Association believes it has its best young prospect for many years in William.
In the 24/25 season, William won the Grimsby Closed Championships Cadet Boys (under 15) and Junior Boys (under 19) titles. He also helped his team, Lenteq A, win the Division Two title, topping the individual averages and then won the Division Two individual competition.
