On the run Chris is 'confident' ahead of a week of marathons

A RUNNER from the Forest of Dean is set to take on a mammoth marathon challenge this spring running seven marathons in seven days from Lydney to London.
Chris Fordham, 42, will set off from his Lydney home on April 20, covering a distance of 157 miles before he reaches the capital city, where he will finish off by taking part in the London Marathon on April 26.
The airline pilot is taking on his Long Run for Mental Health to raise money for Samaritans, after losing a friend to suicide last year.
Chris has previously run the London Marathon in 2017, calling it “the hardest and most rewarding experience” of his life. And while he is “daunted” about taking his running to the next level for this challenge, he is also “really excited” and feeling confident.
The runner has set up a JustGiving page to raise money for Samaritans in support of his challenge, which has so far raised almost £3,800. And he says the generosity of people's donations has been “really motivational” as he trains for his marathon challenge.
