Fire shock Blaze shatters windows of family home as they slept inside

FAMILY are enduring the aftermath of a devastating arson attack which reduced their garden to piles of ash and rubble.

The windows of the children’s bedrooms are boarded up as the inferno caused the panes of glass to shatter and it is a miracle no one was hurt.

The fire is believed to have been deliberately started in a garden shed in the early hours on Saturday, May 31, in Lawnside in Nailsworth, near Stroud.

The fire rapidly spread to three other properties, leaving residents worried and distressed.

Police are asking for anyone with CCTV or any information regarding the incident to get in touch. However, a neighbour of the family has set up a Go Fund Me page.

Nicky Preston, 19, from Nailsworth said: “I was made aware of the fire in the morning when I got up after it happened. My neighbour Dan is the one whose shed was set on fire and he lives in the same cul-de-sac as me and I borrow some of his tools occasionally.

“Dan has been a very close friend for my dad and I and we are always there for each other.
