|September 25, 2025
A MULTI-STOREY car park in Gloucester has been closed for cleaning and is due to reopen by tomorrow (Friday) morning.
It comes after concerns were raised about the “disgusting mess” in the car park made by rough sleepers where tents and barriers have been put up.
Gloucester City Council said The Kings Walk multi-storey car in Gloucester city centre will be closed for essential cleaning work from 7pm on Tuesday.
It added: “It will reopen no later than 7am on Friday morning.
“Gloucester City Council would like to apologise for any inconvenience.”
The car park has 291 spaces and four family bays.
One motorist who reached out to the Local Democracy Reporting Service expressed her horror at the “disgusting goings on” in the car park, stating she felt “utterly ashamed of the city.”
