Coach links Firm pulls suburb stop due to roadworks for new cycleway

A GLOUCESTER man has raised concerns about a vital coach transport link to London and 'the rest of the world' that has been suspended. He feels the decision is 'short sighted' as the early morning service to the capital was a popular route for many.
At the end of May, the Longlevens direct transport link to London stopped.
This happened when National Express removed Longlevens from the list of stops on its Gloucester to London via Heathrow service, the 444 because of roadworks.
The 444 service runs multiple times a day, with the route starting from the Gloucester Hub, running along the Cheltenham Road to Longlevens, before heading along the A40 Golden Valley by-pass.
The route would then stop at three pick up points in Cheltenham, before continuing to Cirencester to join the M4 and onto Heathrow, and finally to London Victoria.
National Express commuter William Lewis, from Longlevens said: “From the end of May, Longlevens lost its direct transport link to London.
