Ex-leader is elected as new mayor

A NEW mayor for Bridgend County Borough Council has been elected alongside a returning leader.
Long-standing member Councillor Huw David was as sworn in as the mayor of the borough at a meeting held on May 14.
His appointment came alongside a separate vote for the leader of Bridgend County Borough Council, with Labour representative Councillor John Spanswick retaining the role for 2025-26.
