Four arrested for body found in Thembalethu

Four suspects, Shaun Matthews (32), Leander Stanton (29), Darrel Cloete (23) and Christiaan Afrika (24), appeared in the George Magistrate's Court on Friday 30 May, in connection with the death of a man whose body was discovered in an open field in Zone 6, Thembalethu, on Thursday 27 March.

The man, whose identity had been unknown for several weeks, was eventually identified through fingerprint analysis as Samuel Salmoms (40) from Parkdene.

It is believed he had last been seen by family members earlier that week, and was himself due to appear in court on Wednesday 26 March, but never arrived. His body was discovered the following day. According to information received by
