INDUSTRIAL GROWTH EXPECTED TO ACCELERATE THE ECONOMY

The much-anticipated figures for India’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) have now been released.

Despite several adverse conditions, the Indian economy has registered an overall growth rate of 6.5% for the financial year 2024-25, with the March quarter witnessing a growth rate of 7.4%. According to economic analysts, the current circumstances are quite favourable for the Indian stock market to gain momentum conditions that could make June a historically significant month. India moving closer to overtaking Japan as the world's fourth-largest economy, positive developments on US tariff concerns, a good monsoon, falling crude oil prices, and continued growth in GST revenue collection are among the factors indicating that the markets may see a 2-3% rise in June. Investors are therefore advised to focus on companies with strong fundamentals.
