India, Italy to set up working groups on space, automobiles

INDIA AND ITALY have agreed to establish joint working groups on the automobile and space sectors, and work together in emerging areas such as green hydrogen and biofuels.
At the 22nd session of the India-Italy Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation (JCEC), co-chaired by commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal and Italy's deputy prime minister Antonio Tajani, both sides agreed to prioritise cooperation in several emerging and strategic sectors including industry 4.0, aerospace, energy transition and sustainable mobility.
The two countries also emphasised the importance of joint initiatives in skill development, digital transformation, migration and mobility, as well as strategic global connectivity projects such as the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC), an official statement stated.
