Arrivals at mandis have picked up pace, and procurement by central and state agencies is in full swing.

The arrivals and purchase operations of wheat are likely to reach peak levels in the next one week.

According to official data, the Food Corporation of India (FCI) and state procurement agencies have collectively purchased over 11.85 million tonne (MT) of wheat so far—an 85% increase over the corresponding period last year.
