Banks' Loan Growth Outpaces Deposits

The loan growth of scheduled commercial banks outpaced the deposit growth for the quarter ended June 30, provisional figures released by lenders on Thursday showed.
Bank of Baroda reported a 2.5% year-on-year growth in domestic advances to ₹9.9 lakh crore as of June 30. Domestic deposit, whereas, trailed loan growth at 8.1% on year to 12.04 lakh crore.
Sequentially, both advances and deposits fell 3%.
