DYNAMIC REBALANCING ENABLES THESE FUNDS TO GENERATE ALPHA CONSISTENTLY

- SAIKAT NEOGI

INDIVIDUALS SHOULD CONSIDER investing in flexi-cap funds as they are more resilient in volatile markets. The flexibility of fund managers to allocate money across market capitalization helps them to generate alpha consistently in these funds.

The appeal of flexi-cap funds is growing. In the first half of this year, about ₹31,500 crore has flowed into these funds.

Most of these funds have taken higher exposure to large-caps—on category level around 58.1%—with 19.8% in mid-caps, 16.1% in small-caps, and the rest in cash. This defensive stance helps them manage downside risk during uncertain times.

Repatriating culture

LOST, FOUND, OR STOLEN — populations across the globe draw their histories and origins from the artifacts that the generations prior left behind. Where they come from and where they end up over the centuries are often two separate stories. Last week, Pope Leo the XIV announced that the Vatican would be returning 62 artifacts that originally belonged to a host of indigenous communities based in Canada. The recent past has seen a variety of conversations on the real heritage of artifacts and where they ought to be displayed.

newspapers were forged in the furnace of the freedom struggle. Not many people would have imagined that 78 years after Independence they would have to invent the phrase godi media. Even as readers and viewers desert them in the thousands, many newspapers and channels flourish thanks to government patronage.
