PV sales dip marginally in May; 2Ws see a rise

DOMESTIC PASSENGER VEHICLE sales saw a marginal decline of 0.8% in May, with total wholesales at 344,656 units compared to 347,492 units in the same month last year, according to data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (Siam) on Monday.
Despite the dip, Siam director general Rajesh Menon noted that May's figures were the second highest ever for the month in the passenger vehicle (PV) segment, indicating continued demand momentum. "All vehicle segments posted stable performance in May 2025," Menon said.
