Economists raise 2025-26 growth outlook to over 7%

UPTREND HOLDS
AFTER OFFICIAL DATA showed robust 8.2% expansion of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the second quarter, economists revised their projections for FY26 economic growth upwards.
Most of them said growth in the current fiscal might now easily exceed 7%, with some pegging it at 7.5%.
The Economic Survey 2024-25 projected the GDP to grow between 6.3-6.8% in FY26.
